WHAT IS SELF DIRECTION?
Self-Direction is a service model offered by the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) in New York State, allowing individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to have greater control over the services and supports they receive. This model empowers individuals to tailor their services to meet their unique needs and preferences, fostering independence and enhancing their quality of life.
The Self-Direction services are funded by the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
